Privacy Policy — Coach's Fitness Tracker

Mobile app · Last updated: 4 September 2026

Coach's Fitness Tracker ("the app") is a food, training and body-metrics tracker published by Đorđe Đorđević ("the developer"). The app is built around a simple principle: your data lives on your phone. There are no user accounts, no advertising, no advertising or analytics SDKs, and the developer runs no servers that collect your tracking data.

This page covers the mobile app only. For the website djordjecoaching.com and its macro calculator, see the website privacy policy.

1. Data stored on your device

Everything you record in the app — food diary, body measurements, training sessions, wellness entries, supplements, meal templates and recipes — is stored in a local database on your device only. The same applies to images: photos of nutrition labels you scan are kept in the app's private storage together with the recognised text (so the label parser can be improved), and any private progress photos you add in the Body section stay in the app's private storage as well. If you connect to a coach or a challenge (section 4), the personal link and its token are also stored in that local database. None of this is transmitted anywhere, none of it is accessible to the developer, and all of it is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data.

2. Health Connect

With your explicit permission, the app reads the following from Google Health Connect: steps, exercise sessions (start time, duration and activity type), and — only within the time window of each imported exercise session — the distance and total energy recorded for that session, so the session summary can be shown. It reads nothing else — no sleep, no heart rate, no location or route data. This data is used solely to display your activity and compute your daily energy balance and recovery inside the app, on your device. The app never writes anything back to Health Connect, never transmits Health Connect data off the device, never shares it with any third party — including your coach — and never uses it for advertising, credit, insurance or any other purpose. You can revoke Health Connect permissions at any time in system settings; the app keeps working without them.

3. Camera and photos

The app has no camera permission of its own: when you scan a nutrition label or attach a photo, it hands off to your phone's own camera or gallery app and receives back only the picture you chose. Label recognition (text recognition) runs entirely on the device — label images are never uploaded. Progress photos leave your device only when you attach them to a coaching or challenge check-in and press Send (see section 4).

4. Optional coach and challenge connection

The app can optionally connect to your coach's service using a personal link the coach gives you. This is off by default: nothing is transmitted unless you paste such a link, and then only when you actively submit a form. There are two separate, independent connections:

(a) Coaching portal. When you submit, the app sends:

The app does not send your name or e-mail address — your coach already holds those, and the personal link identifies you. This data is stored by the coaching service on Supabase servers located in the European Union (Ireland, eu-west-1) and is visible to your coach.

(b) Challenge portal. If your coach runs a group challenge and gives you a challenge link, the app talks to the server named in that link (currently hosted in the European Union) and sends, when you submit a challenge check-in: body weight, waist, hips, chest and thigh measurements, adherence, energy, hunger and digestion ratings, foods you want removed or added, a note for the coach, and any progress photos you attach.

All transmission uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Disconnecting in the app deletes the stored link and stops all further transmission. To have already-submitted coaching or challenge data corrected or deleted, contact your coach or the developer at the address below.

5. Reminders

Supplement reminders are scheduled and delivered entirely by your phone. The app asks for the notification permission only when you switch on your first reminder, and it keeps the reminder permission to restore scheduled reminders after a phone restart. No reminder data leaves the device and no push service is involved.

6. What the app does NOT do

One qualification, for completeness: the on-device text-recognition library used by the label scanner is Google's ML Kit, which is part of the app package. Google states that ML Kit may send operational and diagnostic information about the library itself to Google. The content of your photos and your tracking data are not part of that — recognition happens locally, and the developer has no access to any such data.

7. Your rights

Because tracking data never leaves your device, you exercise most rights directly: view everything in the app, and delete everything by clearing the app's data or uninstalling. For data submitted through an optional coach or challenge connection you have the right to access, correct and delete it — contact your coach or the developer. EU/EEA users have the rights provided by the GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Malta this is the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC)idpc.org.mt.

8. Age

The app is intended for adults (18+), matching the disclaimer you must accept when you first open it. It is not directed at or designed for children, and the developer does not knowingly process data from anyone under 18.

9. Health disclaimer

The app provides educational and tracking functionality reflecting a coaching practice. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or cure any condition. Consult a healthcare professional before making significant changes to diet or exercise, especially if you have a medical condition.

10. Changes and contact
